COME JOIN US IN MONTREAL! CONFERENCE STARTS SATURDAY JULY 7TH
GO TO IIIHS.ORG FOR MORE INFORMATION
This is the United Nations NGO on Science and Spirituality's Annual Conference and PhD level College Week
I will be lecturing for 6 hours this year!
Saturday July 7th: Saints and Sages: The Wisdom of the Child's Near Death Experience and how it led to the first scientific theory of consciousness that explains the near death experience and energetic healing!
Monday July 9th: Two hours on spiritual and energetic healing and the startling
results of our newest spiritual healing protocol. We will "calibrate" any healers
attend and show them their fullest potential as healers, using a device developed
by Princeton University.
Tuesday July 10th: Three hours on spiritual neuroscience. Why you need to
understand how the brain works in order to understand our spiritual potential.
This will be a true workshop and will put everyone to work (and learn)
Also Joyce Hawkes, Raymond Moody, many others. This is an extraordinary conference you will learn from for years to come. It truly represents the cutting edge of information, science and spirituality. Pauline and I will be there for five days, we love to just meet you, hear your stories, spend time with conference attendees and learn from those who attend the conference as much as we contribute.

LEARNING FROM THE NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE
"If an angel spoke to you today, would you listen? How would you know it was real? How could you trust what the angel had to say?"
What is a Near Death Experience
MELVIN L MORSE MD FAAP
One important way to achieve our mission is to promote an understanding that we all have a "God Spot" in our brain which permits communication with a source of wisdom and knowledge that exists outside our physical bodies. We want to explore and promote the practical applications of understanding this new paradigm of consciousness.
I don't "believe in" near death experiences. It is my opinion that the scientific research validates that near death experiences are real. The science of 2011 indicates that we all have a "god spot" or (as per Mario Beauregard MD) a "god brain" that connects us with the divine, the all knowledge timeless space-less domain.
Children who have experienced this all knowledge domain describe it as a "light that had a lot of good things in it" (age 5), or "I saw the sun and it had a happy face for me" (a 3 y/o),"you'll see, Dr. Morse, heaven is fun"(age 7), most intriguingly, "I went into a huge noodle when I died, well it must have been a tunnel because I don't think noodles have rainbows in them.(age 5).
Dr. Morse's research, as well as the research of many others, clearly documents that we are conscious, aware, and have an expanded sense of consciousness beyond the boundaries of our body, at the point of death. This is true even if the dying person seems comatose. Therefore, consciousness is not dependent on normal brain function.
Why is there any controversy that consciousness survives the death of the brain?
All of the many researchers published in mainstream scientific and medical journals agree it is true. The opposing point of view can be summarized as "I don't believe it!" The reason they don't "believe" it is that it doesn't fit into the current scientific materialistic world view. This is why we need a new paradigm, and this is why we are now giving workshops and demonstrating the New Mind Technologies. People are not going to "believe it" until they see it for themselves.
"THE FUNDAMENTAL CHALLENGE OF NEUROSCIENCE TODAY IS TO UNDERSTAND HOW CONSCIOUSNESS CAN PERSIST AT THE POINT OF DEATH, EVEN IN DYING DYSFUNCTIONAL BRAINS" (Bruce Greyson, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, at the University of Virginia.)
As a Critical Care Physician, children would tell me of their near death experiences, and then ask me "but was it real Dr. Morse. Because if it was real, then you have to tell all the old people". Grieving parents would have the same question, about the "crazy dream" they had of their children returning to them after death, or other spiritual events surrounding dying.
I took seriously their questions and felt an obligation to not only answer if their experiences were real, but how they could occur from a scientific point of view. Spiritual Scientific is the result of my obligation to those children and parents who shared with me their experiences and questions.
WHY WAIT UNTIL YOU DIE TO LEARN THE LESSONS OF THE NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE?
I began my career in Critical Care Medicine. I cared for hundreds of critically ill children, while working for Air Lift Northwest. Most of these children died. My goal is nothing less than to change our current culture so when parents have visions or intuitions about their child who has died, they trust and believe their own spiritual experiences.
Years ago a grieving mother asked me to investigate whether or not science can validate spiritual visions. After 20 years, I have concluded that science does in fact support spiritual experiences as being real. The Spiritual Scientific Research Foundation and the Keri Beem Research Foundation are the result of that understanding.

Our Long term Goals
I am motivated by Stephan A Schwartz's 8 Attributes for Organizations Invested in Social Change. One such rule is that we must have a clear goal, yet NOT be invested in one strategy or another in achieving that goal. Our current goals are as follows:
1. To help grieving parents understand that their spiritual visions are real, we want to publish small solid serious articles in the mainstream scientific and medical literature on practical aspects of using spirituality in medical care. By influencing health care professionals we want to create a more accepting climate for spiritual visions.
2. To create practical therapies which utilize spiritual visions in a controlled way in the therapist's office. These will be used for treating post-traumatic stress syndrome, autism, death and dying, complex grieving, and the human spirit.

Researcher and ISSC Board Member Angela Ronson
Angela, in her early thirties, lost most of her brain when she had a stroke. Most people would have simply died, and then re-expressed their consciousness through a new brain.
Not Angela. She decided to fix her old brain. And after seven years in a coma, she did. Read her inspirational story in the Merced Sun by Clicking Here
The Thougtful Vegetable
Angela now, through social media, works with other survivors of stroke and traumatic brain injury. Her blogs are Nationally recognized for her support for patients having questions on home rehabilitation, social media, navigating Social Services, and all aspects of surviving brain injuries.
Her network includes cutting edge Neuro-scientists working in rehab medicine to Foundations for the Support of Survivors of Traumatic Brain Injury. And if she doesn't know something or someone, it won't be long before she does!

We are always interested in listening to the spiritual and near death experiences of others. We want to understand the "lessons from the light". We want to learn from you. This is an interactive project! We are all struggling how to best understand this information, so please contact us with your stories and ideas.
