Things That Don’t Make Sense
January 25, 2009 on 8:21 am | In Astronomy and Spirituality, My crazy ideas | 3 CommentsI am reading a cool book by Michael Brooks, called “13 things That Don’t Make Sense.” On the cover is that wierd optical illusion that is a 3D triangle with backwards angles that make it look like it’s sort of twisted in on itself. Anyway, the book is NOT about optical illusions. It’s “The Most Baffling Scientific Mysteries of Our Time.” I, of course can’t read these types of books cover to cover, I have to jump around and read the most interesting chapters first, then read the rest. The first chapter I read is chapter 2, The Pioneer Anomoly. The Pioneer 10 and 11 space probes are threatening the laws of physics, because they are drifting off course. A tiny ammount, but enough to make the calculations incorrect. They have dug up all the information they can find and went through all the calculations and can’t find any mistakes.
I think it’s dark matter. I will be talking more about dark matter in the near future. I have some things to write about that are still incubating.
So the next chapter I read was chapter 6, Viking. NASA scientists found evidence for life on Mars. Then they changed their minds. A guy named Gilbert Levin figured out a new way to detect the presence of microorganisms by using something radioactive, and they measure the radioactive emissions, and there’s a whole procedure they do that seemed pretty fool proof to me. Anyway they used this technique on the Viking. It had 4 runs, but it seems 3 malfunctioned. One came back positive. Even Carl Segan was congratulating the guy, but then later apologized and took it back. The thing that makes the least sense to me is, whatever the end result was, after Viking, the Biologists all left the field, and were replaced by geologists and atmospheric scientists. I would think they would be trying again to find life! But they haven’t since. My husband also reminded me about the face on Mars that was all over the news and then dismissed. There is obviously something they’re not telling us.
So anyway the next chapter I’ll be reading is something about the “WOW!” Signal from space.
Here’s my own opinions and beliefs. I think there was life on Mars maybe until the time of the Dinosaurs or right around their extinction. Who knows maybe whatever changed on Earth that killed the Dinos, also changed Mars and made it uninhabitable. Or at least started a change that eventually made it uninhabitable. There is also a nearby star, I wish I could remember its name, but Spiritists believe it is a solar system linked to ours. And every so many years there is some kind of connection and that’s where the Indigo children come from. Anyway, I just have this belief that the Ancient Egyptians (when they built the Pyramids) still had the knowledge in their heritage. We know they had this ritual they had in the death of a king. If I remember right they prepared him and buried him alive. But anyway there is a tiny path through the Great Pyramid that goes from the tomb to the outside and points to the stars. It’s as if they are sending their spirits to this more advanced spiritual place. In an unrelated book I read years and years ago someone said the pyramids are mirroring some constellation. I wonder if that’s the constellation of the star the Indigo children come from. Well I guess I better do my homework on that subject. It’s getting a little outlandish sounding. What it has to do with Mars is maybe that’s where we (or some part of our heritage) came from. I understand the whole evolution idea, but I also understand there is a certain jump in our evolution that isn’t accounted for. There is something in the bible that says that when Noah and his family reached land and started to re-establish, the “Sons of God fell in love with the daughters of man” or I’ve also heard it as “the Angels fell in love with humans” Anyway, maybe in reality it was a more evolved civilization. Otherwise, I imagine how difficult it would have been to repopulate the world with just the one family. (by the way, I think experts say there really was a great flood, but they still don’t know what caused it)
Well, I am willing to bet that there will be some of you who will say “Right on!”, and some of you will say “What are you on?” That’s okay with me. All I’m doing is speaking my mind. Hey maybe someday someone will discover just the things I was speculating. Then I can say “Ah-hah! I knew it!”
One last thought. My husband is reading a book about Indigo and Crystal children. It says they came from a more advanced civilization but were sent here because they were rebels, and they are unhappy to be here, because they feel it is a downgrade. Crystal Children are from “another dimension” and are here to help us with the Indigo children.
Well I was suddenly thinking maybe it has to do with these Egyptians. Maybe they had learned a secret way to get to that place before their time, and therefore were not advanced enough to fit there, and became rebels. And maybe those spirits are being sent back.
Hey someone who commented (forgive me I can’t remember your name just now) didn’t you say you came here because of the way the stars lined up? I believe it, after learning more about Indigo and Crystal children. I am now so intrigued by this whole subject, or subjects that could be linked to eachother.
I invite your comments, especially you, Dr. Morse. (as you might have noticed, he usually fills in the blanks for me, with facts in the comments)

Pauline is making me respond to this posting, I want to make sure I am clear that I am only responding in the interest of marital harmony, something about “cutting you off until you write something for my blog” came up. I try to avoid these topics.
I think we have to be very clear about what is a “scientific fact”, what is a “reasonable inference from the known facts”, and what is “crazy nonsense!” I am not opposed to “crazy nonsense”, and as any thoughtful person who knows the history of ideas, yesterdays “crazy nonsense” is today’s scientific fact.
This sorting of ideas becomes more difficult when the “crazy nonsense” comes from thoughtful intelligent scientists. For example, I had the great pleasure of interviewing Jonas Salk, several years before he died, with science writer Paul Perry, for one of my books. Jonas Salk, of course, saved millions of lives with the polio vaccine. You can imagine my astonishment as Dr. Salk casually informed Mr. Perry and myself that aliens transmitted the secrets to the Salk vaccine to him in his sleep!
The book Pauline is referring to is by Vanessa Anseloni Ph.D.. In it she states that children who are currently being diagnosed as hyperactive and being treated with Amphetamines by the dump truck load are actually “Indigo” children. These are advanced souls from a planet in the constellation Auriga who were holding back the planets progress, so they dumped them all on us.
So, oddly enough, Dr. Ansloni is apparently stating that hyperactive children are misunderstood advanced souls, but they are seriously flawed and needed remedial work with us.
I am reading the book for two reasons.
1) I am hearing a lot about these Indigo children in the office and want to be able to discuss the concept with my patients, and
2) Dr. Anseloni is both a personal friend of mine and a brilliant neuroscientist. She did all the cutting edge research on howw the brain cells of the infant at about age one suffer a massive die off, with subsequent significant reorganization of brain structure, a concept totally unknown before her work. This is now an accepted scientific fact.
This issue of brilliant people stating stuff that is basically unprovable and “crazy nonsense” is extremely important because we are at the edge of the new paradigm. We need all the brilliant scientists thinking about these issues.
I frankly don’t have a problem with Dr. Anseloni’s opinions that the Earth is populated with unseen spirits and reincarnated entitites from other planets. I DO have a problem with mainstream scientists who make discoveries such as the recent finding that the Earth is surrounded by a halo of “Dark Matter”, and refuse to then entertain any sort of crazy nonsense about what that may mean!
Think about it! Scientific American, the home of scientific fundamentalism, who refused to run ads for Terrance Witt’s book on Null Physics, published an article stating that the Earth is surrounded and intermingled with something called “Dark Matter”. It is “dark” because we can’t see it, yet it is made of the same stuff as this reality, and is just as real as this reality!
And apparently the Universe is mostly this Dark Matter! Maybe Dr. Anseloni’s Indigo children’s souls are part of this Dark Matter or Dark Energy. In fact, as we get new scientific understandings, I feel strongly we can upgrade the whole Indigo children thing from “crazy nonsense” to “ridiculous speculation”.
Well, as I already wrote to Michael Shermer, these skeptics and critics and scientific fundamentalists have got to start addressing the real issues of the new paradigm.
I like you Michael Shermer, but come on, taking on con artists who sell telephones to talk to the Dead, or debating Depok Chopra about an afterlife, those are pretty easy targets and issues.
I say we are in the middle of a paradigm shift as significant as the one that occured with the invention of the printing press, or the development of language. Let’s throw everything into the pot. Why be afraid to think about these issues! If they are really “crazy nonsense” then that will be pretty obvious pretty soon. But what if aliens did tell Jonas Salk the secret to the polio vaccine. Even if aliens didn’t tell him that, aren’t you glad he still listened to the “crazy voices”? The 40,000 people who died of polio in the early 1900s wish someone had listened to those crazy voices before they got polio!
We must take the attitide of Professor Kukele, the inventor of the benzene ring and the father of modern chemistry. He had a dream that led him to the discovery of the circular nature of the benzene ring, the heart of modern chemistry.
Yet in his address to his fellow scientists, he said “Gentlemen, dream, dream, and dare to dream! And then take your dreams to the laboratory!”
(Well that’s not an exact quote and he said it in German)
And then take your dreams to the laboratory! That is the heart of the issue. Brain storm, open the doors of science to every sort of crazy idea, and then let them survive the rigors of the scientific progress.
But one final note! For all of you who send me your “crazy ideas”, and I definately enjoy reading them, I will have to say that the ones with crayoned notations in the margins, or excessive capitalization, or ones that explain the concept, and then have lengthy texts explaining the explaining, well frankly I put all of those in the “demented ravings” catorgy in the circular file.
Yet as I do it, I reflect, maybe I just threw away the next vaccine.
Hey, I’ve got it. All you aliens sending us messages that are so important, would you do us a favor and send them to people who have good handwriting, are computer literate, and are not actually crazy!

ONE MORE THING ABOUT ANCIENT EGYPT
Yes, Pauline is correct that the ancient Egyptians had their kings undergo a ritual in which they underwent a mock internment in a casket and a ritual which seems designed to both induce a near death experience and a near death state!
That’s the problem with this whole “crazy nonsense” and “crackpot science” labeling. The above facts about the Egyptian rituals for their new kings sound like crazy nonsense yet in fact the above is true. Reasonable people can differ on the meaning of the ritual, but most Egyptologists agree the forementioned ritual was part of becoming a pharoah in ancient Egypt.

Hello Paula, I am enjoying reading your blog and was listening to your husband last night on coast to coast. He mentioned to read his wife Paula’s site about animals and heaven.
Also you mentioned about Noah and how one family reproduced the world. And of the Fallen Angels. You are one of the first persons I have heard say anything of this. My mother (a catholic} and many other people I have asked about that have no knowledge of it.
There is a preacher I listen to when I can {5 am} every day that spoke on the subject. I always forget his name when I need it. Anyway he says that in the Garden of Eden the Devil seduced Eve into sexual relations with him and that was the forbidden sin {not an apple}. And that Cain was not of Adams descent because he was of the devils seed. And the fallen Angels came to earth and seduced adams daughters and that’s where the Giants came from and maybe they were also supernatural. And that is why the population got so evil that God flooded the world.
Anyway I was fascinated to hear that story and thought it made perfect sense compaired to Eve eating an apple and God putting the curse of menestration on women for it. But when I mention anything about it to the church goers I know they tell me do not listen to that preacher and are appalled by it. And they say the bible does not say that. I think he said it is the reading in the Straums Bibled? I don’t know if that is the right name.
Anyway I enjoy you and look forward to reading more. After noticing a Christmas pic with sopmething in the window that caught my eye I enlarged it to see it was a reflection of my Mothers deceased dog of 15 yrs. And also other odd faces in it. I thought maybe her house is haunted. I was so amazed I started looking at some other pics of me outside a building at work in another town and there in the refletion of the door window there are wierd things like a blue eye of a lady with eyelashes holding up her skeleton hand over the rest of her face. And many other amazing images in it. I analyzed my nieces bday party pics and found 2 children ghost in the background in the bushes along with what looks my wolf dog that was lost and a Border Collie I lost that came to tell me goodbye in a dream the next day. The next week I got a call 2 dogs had killed her.
So the images in the pics are proof to me there is another side and our loved ones are here with us. It’s the love that’s keeps them connected with us and with each other on the the other side even though they did not know each other they are over there together.
Thanks for writing your blog!
Charlotte
