SPIRITUAL NEUROSCIENCE:  

Our consciousness uses our brain to interact with this reality. How else could we learn our lessons of love unless we had a spirit-mind-brain-body with which to learn those lessons.  Many people believe that before we were born, we contracted with our partner souls and actually created a lesson plan for this life and lives to come.

We must learn how to best use our brains to facilitate our spiritual self, just as a great musician must learn how to play a musical instrument.

Spiritual neuroscience is the scientific study of the brain as a spiritual tool to help our consciousness learn lessons of love.  For example, we know that our right brains process billions of bits of information every second. Our left brain, our internal narrator, our chattering monkey within, only uses 10,000 bits of information per second to create this reality. Yet we think that what we see and hear is all there is to life!  Our brain serves as a reducing valve to filter the otherwise overwhelming billions of bits of information. 

Our ego is in fact our "little" brain.

Of course we need an ego to interact and function within this reality. We must be able to analaze and use judgment in order to learn our lessons of love.

We also to learn to use our spiritual brain, to access the billions of bits of information that we directly access from the mind of God. This is primarily a non-analytical and non-judgmental process.

CONNECTING TO THE MIND OF GOD

(Also known as The Higher Consciousness, The Universal Mind, the Akashic Records, Nonlocal Mind,  Nonlocal Consciousness or the Mind of aTranscendent God)

According to Stephan A Schwartz (click here to access his website on the nonlocal mind) there are six scientifically proven ways to open our spirit-mind-brain-body to the non-local all knowledge domain.  These include prayer, a protocol developed by Dean Radin, as well as a recent protocol developed by Dr. Bem at Cornell University.

WHAT ARE NON-LOCAL PERCEPTIONS?

Non-local perceptions are clusters of informaton that cannot be perceived by the ordinary senses. They are also not part of ordinary memory.   These include past life memories, premonitions of the future, medium experiences, angel encounters, spiritual visions, and intuition. From a scientific perspective, remote viewing, also known as astral projection, is the most important of the nonlocal perceptions. This is because astral projection can be studied with the scientific method. There are dozens of scientific articles on remote viewing (astral projection) in the scientific literature. The most famous of these was published in Nature by Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ (

Reality is composed, at its core, of complex patterns of information embedded in energetic fields. Most scientists now describe material reality as being based on unseen energetic patterns of energy.

All that we perceive with our ordinary senses such as hearing, vision, taste and touch is "local reality", the reality that is all around us. 

However, deep within ourselves, we can access a "teacher within", a "universal consciousness" or a God (for lack of a better word) which allows us to access all of the knowledge in the Universe.  Everything that ever was, is, and will be exists in the timeless spaceless nonlocal domain as a pattern of information embedded in an energetic field.

As we are also part of that energetic field, we can also access this source of information. In fact, we have specific brain structures which permit us to do this; our hippocampus and temporal lobes.

Remote viewing (or astral projection) is a process in which we can enter into this mind of God and access a tiny piece of universal knowledge. In turn, this interaction  can then be validated by our ordinary senses. For example, the psychic Ingo Swann predicted in advance that the Voyager Spacecraft would discover new moons around Jupiter.  Several Gurus living in India did the same thing through astral projection.  They were able to thoroughly describe what these moons would look like even though they had never been seen before and were not known to exist prior to being discovered by the Voyager Space Craft.

Learning to remote view can be an invaluable spiritual training exercise.

      What is The God Spot?

The God Spot is our right temporal lobe, right hippocampus and related structures.  It is the part of the brain that consciousness uses to express a sense of self, access long term memories, connect to a "god", open oneself to the all knowledge non-local timeless space-less domain and have spiritual insights and understandings.

Mario Beauregard, in 2006, broadened this concept to the Spiritual Brain, meaning that spirituality and a link to "god" is more than just a spot.
