Just one cat left still after the big juicy treat that fights back...

There were two. One is down, he has given up and went to sleep in the vet crate! Hours later the last one is still determined to get it. They have been stung, you can tell, because he will only get close enough to swat it and jump back. It’s a big juicy wasp, sure to be a good snack for whoever finally makes the kill. But does he have the killer instinct? One thing is for sure, even though he might have a few stings, he will feel pretty good about himself when it’s all done. Cats need their wild instinct to be fed sometimes, some food that will put up a good fight.
And he swats it again for the twentieth time. And it flies up and tries to land on his nose! He shook it off and jumped back. The wasp is woozy. It won’t live long. Our hero kitty is now going to take a break and a drink of water to wait and see if it dies.
Nope, he hears it buzzing and runs back.
To be continued….

It is indeed sad that she wants to be so big, and it’s sad they are giving her so much “good” publicity! I agree with most of the commentors, in that she must be just swallowing down issues that should be dealt with, that she needs mental help, some positive support, and we are all probably paying for her food and health care in our taxes, and she will end up dying and leaving her poor children behind. I wonder, will there be a way, when we get all this health care reform straightened out, to work around people who are less caring about themselves or the people around them. Gluttony is a sin, and the reason for that is just this. It takes the food out of starving people’s mouths, and just to selfishly waste it. Now, thanks for hearing me gripe. The link is on the same tweet as this.

The Lewes Polar Bear Plunge finally happened, and it was lots of fun! No I didn’t go in the water but I was the camera person. I used a real camera instead of the phone, and I haven’t uploaded the pictures yet. I plan to put together a very cool movie of the highlights. And put some pictures up here.
We got there with a minute to spare. Melvin brought these two green swim noodles, so if you were there, that was @neardeathdoc. Sure maybe you didn’t see him go all the way in at first but a few minutes later when we all got closer to the water he went back in while I was able to film better. So yes, he technically dipped twice.
Then another big ham, one of the main teachers of my daughter’s school was there, and congratulated him. We got pictures of the guy’s surf board, he is a cool long-haired hippy teacher.
Then we went to the convention center and enjoyed the chili, Nicoli’s Pizza (I think, it might have been Grotto’s) some cookies and a polar bear cake. And the band was awesome. It was just four guys I think were all dads, I know one was a dad from my daughter’s school. We plan to invite them to our daughter’s birthday party, and when we renew our vows.
So anyway the best part was all the crazy silly people dancing and dressed up in all kinds of costumes, just whooping it up and having a good ol’ time to this great weekend rock & roll band.
Pics and videos coming soon!

Just some thoughts about following and being followed on Twitter.

Warning: This my end up to be one of the more boring and maybe even dumb posts I’ve written.

It’s rather comical sometimes though, the people who follow me. Don’t get me wrong, the more followers the better! It doesn’t matter who you are, it’s like a Unitarian curch. But at the same time I like to see who’s following and wonder why. Like, I know I’ve tweeted a few times about a yummy salad or some kind of dish I’m having, but maybe a third of my followers are dieters and the like! That’s good though, it tells me I have good eating habits. Makes me think about tweeting more about how I maintain my comfortable weight.

Sometimes it’s a real compliment to be followed by some. Take a look at my followers some time, it’s very nice! I consider the follow/following ratio also, the more followers they have, and especially the fewer they are following already, the more honored I am to have them follow me.

I am hoping to some day change my ratio to have more followers than following. I am at the max I think for people to follow, because it’s getting hard to keep up. It’s hard to be choosy though, because it’s also better for me to have a lot of sources. As you may have noticed I retweet a lot. It’s an easy way of sharing what I consider important information.
